Aight,
So here it goes...
The discussion that needed to be had, yet, no one wanted to breach it.
Allow this Egiri to breach it:
..
For a convenient amount of time, we Afro-Americana have been under the impression that Non-Blacks started to adopt and appropriate the term, "ny&&a" from merely listening to too much HipHop/(Post HipHop aka Gangsta shyt..aka Black Death music).
However, over the span of the last few years, I've come to witness a reckless plethora of young Afro-Americana whom use the term, "ny&&a" indiscriminately along pan-ethnic lines, subsequently making non-Afrikana comfortable with the term and, consequently making said non-Afrikana comfortable using thee term themselves.
..
Fast-forward to today:
I'm in Micky-D's enjoying my McDouble and McChicken sammiches respectively. Its a crew of 4 youngins, probably all about 17/18. This crew consists of One Afrikana, 2 Mexicana, and 1 Asiatic.
Thee single, lone Afrikana was referring to each and every one of them as 'ny&&a', recklessly.
But the crucial element was: They were ALL comfortable with it.
..
It is at that ^EXACT MOMENT that I reaLized the root cause of this sudden proliferation of young non-Afrikana saying 'ny&&a' with reckless abandon irrespective of thee cultural-sensitivity and cultural-initiation required to even say that shyt.
..
See, in the old skool, we Afrikana only said dat shyt among WE:
Yall young Afrikana is sayin that shyt recklessly among ALL.
..
YaLL need to STOP DAT SHYT!
Otherwise, its a lot of young non-Afrikana who gonna get the
smoov taste smacked outta they azz because they Afrikanic homeys didn't hip them to the rules & regulations of that shyt.
..
I Love my younginz, and we elders hold some accountability in not firmly establishing the code with yall, relaying the scroLLz with yall.
But............
THIS EGIRI IS DOIN IT RIGHT -NOW-!
We gonna need yall to knock that shyt off.
Peace, Love, Respect, and Self-KnowLedge...
-Egiri Yansa-Ra
